Telur Ayam Layer Berkualitas

Eggs are well known as a food packed with nutrients, especially protein. They have become a practical, easy-to-find daily source of protein that can be cooked into all kinds of dishes, such as omelets, sunny-side-up eggs, telur balado (eggs in spicy chili sauce), semur telur (eggs braised in sweet soy sauce), boiled eggs and many other egg dishes. The nutritional content of eggs can be influenced by how the farm cares for its layer chickens, including the layer feed that helps hens grow and lay. The nutritional value of eggs can also be affected by the ingredients cooked with them. Everything from vegetables to seasonings can change the nutrient levels of the eggs and of the finished dish. Eating egg whites without the yolks also means the body gets almost none of the nutrients in the egg, because all the vitamins and fats are dissolved in the yolk. So if we eat only the whites, we throw away many of the good nutrients an egg contains.

To get eggs with the best nutritional content, choose eggs from layer chickens, or laying hens, raised on the best farms. Farms must care for their layer chickens under strict quality control so the hens lay plenty of high-quality eggs. Keeping the coop clean and feeding layer chickens properly are two of the ways to help hens grow and lay well. The coop must be clean so the birds stay healthy and lay more productively. It must be kept free of droppings and sprayed regularly with disinfectant to kill the bacteria and viruses that spread easily from one chicken to another. Poultry disease viruses make chickens unhealthy and less productive, and they can also spread into the eggs that consumers eat. That is why a clean, healthy coop is one of the keys to high-quality eggs with good nutritional content.

Feeding must also follow a regular schedule so the chickens do not miss meals or get sick. Portions and feed types must be matched to the age of the layer chickens, so each bird's nutritional needs are met for its age. Feeding the wrong amounts can disrupt egg formation. For layer chickens to produce good-quality eggs, their feed must be made from the best raw ingredients and processed under strict quality control. Chickens usually prefer feed in seed or grain form, because they are natural grain eaters. They also prefer brightly colored seeds or grains, such as red, green, yellow or orange ones.

Feeding layer chickens on time and on a regular schedule also helps them avoid stress, so they grow and develop well. By nature, chickens eat to meet their energy or calorie needs. Most of the layer feed they eat goes toward meeting those needs, while the rest simply rounds out their nutrition.
